Hi everyone
My bank balance on the dashboard and the bank balance on balance does not match. I have recently cleared the bank account (to move to a new one) so the balance is at $0. The dashboard reflects this but when I run the balance sheet (on accrual with the right end date), it shows that there is $5.05 in the account.
This bank is a foreign currency account. I'm guessing it must have something to do with the currency conversion.
I have checked everything line by line. Things seem to have been reconciled correctly. The actual bank balance and the dashboard number is correct - at $0. I'm just having the problem when I run the balance sheet.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi @crissi1,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'm here to help you with your concern about the Balance Sheet report in QuickBooks Online.
The bank balances that'll show on your dashboard are the actual currency of your accounts. For example, if your account is in CAD, it'll also reflect the amount in CAD on your dashboard.
However, the balance sheet report will show the balance using the home currency exchange rate. It's the reason why it's showing different amounts when running the report.
Additionally, I've attached a link you can use to personalize financial reports, like changing the filters and columns in QuickBooks: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Thank you AlcaeusF, this is a very useful answer. Is there any way I can customize the balance sheet to match the currency on the dashboard? I had a look at the customization options which you sent the link for but I don't see this option.
