desktop accountants plus 2024 and it will not let me map for 1099s.

It is possible that your client is using QB Desktop 2022 or an older version.

My client is also using a current 2024 version, I also can't map 1099s in a file I created. When I click map for 1099-NEC I just get a blank box and it never populates the accounts list to map.

This is happening to everyone in our firm. Updates have all been done.

I am also using QuickBooks accountants plus 2024. I have mapped my 1099's some misc and some nec. I choose "print e-file 1099 forms" and a page appears "Let's help you prepare and file your 1099 forms" that page has links to e-file, purchase QuickBooks 1099 kits, and more. There is no option to print the 1099's I have already prepared and am ready to print on the preprinted 1099 misc and or 1099nec.  I have installed all the latest updates. This is very frustrating.  Can anyone advise me on how to proceed? I need to print these forms soon.

In QuickBooks Desktop, when updating to the latest release of QuickBooks, begin with the Reset Update checkbox before proceeding with the update. After the update is complete, please try print your 1099 forms again. If the prompt, "Let's help you prepare and file your 1099 forms," continues to appear, you can just continue the steps until you reach the final screen titled Choose a Filing Method.

Note: Please do not click the E-file button. Instead, look for the button that says Print 1099s or I'll print and mail them myself.

I use desktop professional 2024 and am having the same issue.  When I go to map, sometimes the mapping screen won't open up and all, I only see the border of the dialog box and sometimes it will let me get as far as the mapping screen, but the ability to map is grayed out.  I think it is an issue with a possible update that was done earlier this month, because I wasn't having any issues prior to that.  In addition, when I was at another client's office, who also uses desktop professional 2024, I had the same issue with hers.  Please get this issue researched and resolved asap as deadlines are fast approaching.
