Does the essentials plan include tracking expenses by customer?

The expense tracking by customer feature is available in QuickBooks Plus, tristatemanageme.

 

In QuickBooks Essentials, you can track sales, expense, and profits. This helps us to manage the account and to have a visibility of the company's profit and loss. You can also generate sales quotes and create transactions in multiple currencies.

 

You can check QuickBooks plans and pricing to know what you can do more in QuickBooks Essentials version.

 

However, if you want to use this feature (Expense tracking by customer) you can purchase or upgrade your subscription to QuickBooks Plus.

 

Once subscribed, you can turn on this feature through the Accounts and Settings tab. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon, and then Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Expenses tab.
  3. Click the pencil (edit) icon on the Bills and expenses section.
  4. Tick Track expenses and items by customer.
  5. Click Save, and then Done.
