What registry key?
I'm having the same issue after using QB since March with no problems. I'm thinking it has something to do with the latest update from QB. Can we get a fix for this ASAP, please?
Hi there, @shay13.
Let me share with you the possible reason why you're getting this error message and provide you an immediate solution to this.
As mentioned above, you may run into this issue if your registry key is corrupted. This error may occur when you send an email from a third-party app using Microsoft Outlook.
Also, QuickBooks updates are intended to improve the program's functionality and resolve various issues. Thus, this makes sure that the product is always compatible with the applications that it's integrated. Having said, we can assure you that this concern isn't related to any product updates.
To resolve this concern, make sure to set Outlook as the default mail client. You can also run a repair tool on Microsoft Office or uninstall and reinstall it to clean its registry and preferences.
Before taking these actions, I highly suggest contacting a Microsoft IT Expert so they can provide you the proper steps. This way, we can avoid damaging your computer's operating system.

I have run Quickbooks repair tools and Office repair tools. Outlook is the default mail client. I continue to get this error. It started just this week. In fact, it was working on 9/23 and not working on 9/25.
To add to my previous post, I am experienced with editing the registry. If that is the best solution, please provide the necessary details.
Hi there, @bhibler.
This error is caused by an outdated Microsoft Office 365 release. To fix it, you can update your Microsoft Office 365 to the newest release version. Here's how
If the issue persists, you can follow these next troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Edit your admin privileges
Make sure QuickBooks isn't set to automatically run as an administrator.
Open your QuickBooks Desktop application and send a test email or transaction. If you still receive an error message or still cannot send an email, you can refer to this link for more troubleshooting steps: How to fix "Error: QuickBooks is unable to send your email to Outlook".
Let me know if you have more questions about connecting a bank account in QuickBooks Online.
The last step that worked for me was to Run the office 365 setup for current Windows user profile.
Office / outlook was already installed on this machine for more than a year and current user was using it n never had any issue. I tried run repair but that did not make any difference. But running office 365 setup again resolved the issue. Not sure if that was something with registry.
Previously I tried changing QB compatibility setting, resetting Default email client as Outlook, running QB + MS office + Windows update, Repair IMAP,l.
I tested sending email from QuickBooks after each step.
