How can I change default payment terms on invoices to 10 days instead of 30 days? I always have to change it manually now, but I don't always remember. Change settings?

Hello there, @a440jj. I'm here to provide guidance on changing your default payment terms on invoices to 10 days in QuickBooks Online.

The first step is to create the payment term. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Account and settings.
  2. Select Sales, then navigate to Sales form content and hit the Pencil icon to edit.
  3. In the Preferred invoice terms dropdown, click on the + Add new to create the ten-day payment term. Fill in the necessary details, then hit Save.

Next, choose the 10-day payment term in the Preferred invoice terms dropdown to make it the default option. Click Save to apply the changes, then select Done

Please note that these changes will only apply to future invoices and won't affect the past ones.

Once you have created and sent the invoice to your customer, you can now record the payment to balance your accounts.

If you have any questions regarding managing your invoices, feel free to ask me. I'm always here to assist you. Have a good one.
