It's not a hack. Obviously QB has partnered with the third party, and intentionally put these ads smack in the middle of our work space and gave us no option to remove it. FORCED ADVERTISING. They did remove the business capital loan banner from my Receive Payments window (kudos to QB for reversing something that never should have happened in the first place), but QB has acknowledged that the advertisement on our payroll page - again, right there in our work space, CANNOT be removed by the user. "They're working on it." If it's like so many of these things by QB, check back in 10 years and they'll still be working on it. That is NOT an exaggeration.
How did they remove the QuickBooks Capital ad from Receive Payments screen? Mine is still there..so frustrating..
Yes, I a another one that is sick of that add that changes my ability to see the whole screen page. I need to get that thing out of there. QB is too expensive to be putting up with this kind of nuisance.
I've got some steps that you can try, melannak.
Before anything else, let's update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. Here's an article for the instructions: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
Then, click on this link: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop and check the display settings to make sure that it meets the minimum requirements. The display settings need to be optimized for 1280×1024 screen resolution or higher at 100% scaling. Supports one Workstation Monitor, plus up to 2 extended monitors.
If you're unable to get the display settings up to the 1280x1024 (such as on a laptop), you can use the keyboard shortcuts below:
Otherwise, view it in full screen to allow the buttons to show every time.
Please let me know how it goes or if you have any additional questions or other concerns. Take care.
I get the annoying ad back when I do an update. Please remove it! Thank you.
None of your suggestions work as evidenced by hundreds of the same complaint here. Please remove the QuickBooks Capital ad! Clicking the X doesn't work. I have already checked off the Block pop up option. This happened months ago- it went away one day and just reared it's ugly head again last week when I accidentally clicked the update button. This is ridiculous to subject your clients to this unwanted nightmare. Please remove immediately!
