Welcome, and thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'm here to share information about adding upcharge/surcharge on invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Currently, the option to automatically add upcharges/surcharges on invoices is unavailable. You'll need to add them manually as a line item.
To do this, you need to create a service fee item first. Here's how:
- In QBO, go to the Sales menu and select the Products and services tab.
- Click New, then choose Service.
- Give the fee a name.
- From the Category ▼ drop-down, select the category that best describes the fee.
- Fill out the rest of the fields as needed.
- Once done, hit Save and close.

You also have the option to automatically charge late fees for overdue invoices. You don't need to add them manually. Please refer to this article for further guidance: Set up and apply automatic late fees to invoices.
