Buy now & savePS. I did diligence by submitting this request through the correct channels, but its clear to me the community has been crying out for this feature for a loooong time.
Having doubts my request will do a thing. Bet there tons of request for this in already.
I may only have a basic understanding when it comes to programming, but how hard can it really be to implement based on the billing or delivery address. (Legal in one state/province, not in others)
Brand new to Quickbooks with a new business I've launched this year.
Read through enough of this thread to realize what's up.
It's absolutely ridiculous that there is not a function built into the system, whereby, when a customer elects to pay the invoice with a credit card, the processing page automatically adds the 3% when they "checkout".
Untuit/Quickbooks obviously doesn't care, based on how many people have requested it; it being a very simple function to add, and them also being able to build in a legal safe guard, where if your company is in a state that doesn't allow it, it's not available as an option.
Ridiculous.
I am about to start charging customers a credit card conveniency fee. at the moment the only way to do it is to add a new product code, and then add a new item line on the customer invoice using the product code you created. Just an example, if you’re charging 3% of the total cost of the invoice, The amount will be entered on the invoice as credit card convenience fee. Unfortunately, this will only be applicable when the customer is paying by credit card, or perhaps Venmo, and Zelle, if you have these set up on your system. if they decide to pay by check or cash, the convenience fee is no longer relevant and will have to be removed from the invoice with the credit note. It certainly sounds like a long process in order to charge the customer for using a credit card
QuickBooks would rather rearrange menus, make new icons, and change fonts rather than actually make
reasonable improvements to their software. I've been waiting for this. for 5 years. This change isn't not going to happen.
I can't understand why they are reluctant to introduce this new feature to their system? I am sure we are not alone, I would think many would like to charge a 'processing fee' to recover the charge made by QB. A simple new field on the invoice template would help all of us
