How do I convert my pdf bank statements to CSV?

Thanks for posting in the Community, chelsea@chelseas.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), the ability to convert a PDF bank statement to CSV is currently unavailable. You can visit our QuickBooks App center to check for any third-party application that offers the same feature you'd like.

I can see how having this option would be helpful for you and your business. Rest assured that I'll pass along your suggestion to our Product Developers. They're always looking for ideas to consider on how to improve QuickBooks.

In the meantime, I recommend visiting our Blog site. This is where we share recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features.

All you need to know about QBSE can be found in this article: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

Please click the Reply button below if you have any other questions or concerns. I'll be here to help. Have a good one!

How do I convert my pdf bank statements to CSV?

I've got some steps we can perform to see if this is just triggered by your bank, or in QuickBooks Self-Employed.  (QBSE), Ian Dynatex.

We can upload CSVs with either the following 3-column or 4-column format. These are the only columns QuickBooks can handle and this order. Also, each bank formats CSV files differently which mean you may not be able to import CSVs from certain banks since files don't have the format QuickBooks needs. You can refer to this article as your guide: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks

If you need to manually import your bank transactions using.CSV file, just get this file from your bank's website. Let me show you how:

  1. Got to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Imports.
  3. Tap Import older transactions and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Tick Import.

For complete details about this process, please see this link: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed. Feel free to visit our Banking page for more insights about managing your bank transactions.

You can always go back to this post if you need a hand with creating bank rules or any QBSE related. I'm always here to help. Take care always.
