How do I convert .pdf bank statement files to an extension needed for QuickBooks Online?

I can definitely help you with that, conagher59-gmail.

The supported file types for importing bank transactions are QBO, QFX, and CSV. Take note that you'll have to use a third-party application to convert your PDF files to a supported one. You may use the tool suggested by Fiat Lux - ASIA or head to the Apps menu within your QuickBooks company to find other converters. Here's how:

  1. Select Apps from the sidebar menu.
  2. Click the Find Apps tab.
  3. Enter a keyword in the search bar or click Browse category.

Once you're ready, it's time to upload the file into the program:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, then choose Transactions.
  2. Select Bank transactions or head to Banking.
  3. Click the blue tile of appropriate bank account
  4. For accounts not connected to online banking, hit Upload transactions.
  5. For accounts not connected to online banking, select Upload from file from the Link account drop-down menu.
  6. Locate and open the file you downloaded from your bank, then click Continue.
  7. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, pick an  account you want to upload the transactions into.
  8. Map the columns and follow the onscreen steps complete the process.
