How do I get contractor payments from online payroll into my desktop QB for Mac?

If these contractor payments are from your QuickBooks Online Payroll data, then, to record this to QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, you can either write a check directly. 

Here's how:

1. Click the Banking menu at the top.
2. Select Write Checks. 
3. Fill in the necessary information and the date. 
4. Go to the Items tab.
5. Enter the service item you set up for this type of subcontracted work.
6. Put the amount and appropriate quantity. 
7. In the Customer: Jobs column, enter the name of the job (or customer) for which the work was done.
8. Tap Save.
