We understand the importance of keeping track of our payments in our program to ensure the accuracy of business. In QuickBooks, we can use the Receive Payment to apply a single payment for multiple invoices if they have the same customers.
Let me guide you through the steps below.
- Click on the +New button.
- Pick Receive Payments.
- Choose the Customer in the dropdown.
- Enter all the information needed.
- Put a checkmark beside the invoices you want.
- Then click Save & Close or Save & New.

However, if you want to link a single payment to multiple invoices with different customers, you can create a Bank Deposit and then link it to the invoices. See the steps below:
- Go to the + New icon and choose Bank Deposit.
- Proceed to the Add funds to this deposit section.
- Enter the customer names in the Received From column.
- Use the Accounts Receivable for the Account for you to link it to the invoice.
- Add a Payment Method and the respective amount you received.
