I can help share some steps that can resolve unexpected results when working in QuickBooks Online.
I've tried to replicate here on my end and the only options from the invoice submit button are Save and new, Save and close, and Save and share link.
There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, causing some unusual responses. Let's isolate this by letting your customer pay the invoice using a private browser (incognito).
Here are the shortcut keyboards:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox or Internet Explorer)
- Control + Option + P (Safari)
Once done, try creating an invoice again. If it works, let them return to their default browser and clear the cache and cookies to refresh their browser's page.
However, if the issue persists, let them use other supported browsers to pay your invoice.
