  3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
  4. From the drop-down, choose the appropriate category, then select Send message.

Then, to track the feature requests you submit, head to the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website at this link.

Also, QuickBooks makes it easy to help you personalize your sales forms. To get started, please head to the Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts page.

If you have further questions about customizing the client's lists window, you can always post here. I'll be around to help you. Have a blissful new year and take care.

How do I search client list by client type?

Hi there, @ktuva

You can run the Sales by Customer Type Detail report and filter it to show the information that matters to you.

You can filter the report to show the open invoices per customer and type. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports tab on the left panel.
  2. Type Sales by Customer Type Detail (or any sales reports) in the search box.
  3. Click the Customize button in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Check the boxes for Customer Type and A/R Paid (this will show if an invoice is still open or not).
  5. Click Run report.

For more tips and insights in personalizing a report, check out this article: How to customize reports

Please let me know if you need anything else. I'll be here to help you further.

How do I search client list by client type?

Thank you so much, that will help.

However, is there any way it could be made so that we could sort by the customer type in the Sales-Clients view.  For example you can change the arrow beside Client/Project to sort a-z or z-a of the client name, if there was an arrow beside the center column "Client Type" or better yet, in the Settings wheel have an option under "Other" so along with "Include Inactive" and "Include Projects", it could say Include "Completed" or "Current" ???
