How do I send a text bill instead of sending it to an email address? I am not able to generate a bill now unless I have an email address. Can they make the payments in the same manner via text billing?

I'd like to make sure you get the right answer and steps for your concern. To clarify, are you using QuickBooks Self-Employed and trying to generate an invoice? If so, you'll want to send the invoice using your email address so can save it. Then, provide the details to your customers.

My client doesn’t have an email address and would prefer to do billing via text messaging. With text messaging I can find out whether my client has seen the message or not (if they have provided that in their  specifications). In any case, she prefers to do billing via text messaging. I want to make sure she has all the information needed to know how to send the electronic check and confirm for her that this is a completely secure method of sending money. I’m hoping you have something written up that properly identifies the procedure.

While sending invoices through text messaging isn't an option, you can forward them to your email instead. Then, manually copy their links so you can send them to your customers via text message.

Let me guide you how:

1. Go to the Invoices menu at the left pane.
2. Look for the created invoices, and then click the Send link under the Action column.
   
   
3. Fill out the needed info, and then tap Send when you're ready.
   
   

If you wish to send them using your iOS devices like iPhone and IPad or with your Android phone and tablet, please read through this article for the steps: Send invoice through iOS or Android devices.

Once done, manually copy their links from your email and then send them via text message.

To make your invoices more appealing and presentable to your customers, you'll want to customize them. Just click the Gear icon ⚙️ at the top right corner of the invoice page. You have several customization options like Add logo (+), Design, etc. See the screenshot below for visual reference:

Check out apps.com (the QuickBooks app store) and search SnapDesk.

It's a business text messaging app that has an integration with Quickbooks so you can send invoice text messages to your clients or customers.

Highly recommend!
