Join nowGood morning, @mdmason.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support. I'm happy to lend a hand with turning off the Tags feature in QuickBooks Online.
Tagging is there to help you track transactions however you'd like. Since you don't wish to use this feature anymore, you can turn it off at any time. I've included the steps to turn the feature off below.
Once you've turned the feature off, you'll need to refresh your QuickBooks Online account.
To do this:
That's all there is to it. Feel free to check out Tag transactions to learn more about this feature.
Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. I'll be here every step of the way. Take care and always know that you can reach out to the Community or me at any time!
Strike 1! That option isn't there. This isn't something I want. Let's get this fixed.
Strike 1! This option isn't there. What's the next step?
Thanks for trying those steps to turn off the Tags feature, mdmason.
I'd be glad to offer some info about getting this setting turned off in your account. After some additional research, I was able to find that there have been other reports of QuickBooks Online users not being able to locate the Tags option on the Labs page to turn it off. The engineers are aware and working to get this fixed as quickly as possible.
In this case, I recommend calling in to speak with a member of the Online Support Team. Once you're connected an agent will be able to get you added to the list of affected companies. After you're added you'll be notified via email with updates and the solution. Here's how to get in contact with the team:
1. Click the Help (?) button in the top right corner.
2. Enter a brief statement like, "Can't turn off Tags." then select Let's talk.
3. Choose Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
4. Select Start a chat with a support expert or Get a callback from the next available expert.

With this info, you'll be the first to know when you can turn off the Tags feature. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions.
I didn't "TRY" the tags feature. Quickbooks turned it on and refuses to give me the ability to turn it off.
Agreed, who asked for Tagging.
So tired of QBO adding useless features vs. fixing the ongoing issues.
Account and settings
Sales tab
Sales form content, select the pencil to edit
Toggle "tags" off
Save
Doesn't work, tags keeps appearing even when it's turned off in settings.
Thanks for joining this conversation, @BQ_Why.
The Tags feature was enabled for 100% of US QBO companies. At this time, there is no way to permanently disable/turn off Tags. We are working removing Tags from QB Labs and adding the capability to permanently disable/turn off Tags in the main Account and Settings.

@FritzF STOP making it out like it is thousands of computers needing cache cleaned up. IT IS INTUIT/QB!! They are ALL aware that this is an issue and that THE MAJORITY does NOT want it. They have already said they have NO intensions of fixing or getting rid of it.
TRY PAYING ATTENTION!! I don't even work for QB, and I know what the deal is.
