How do you stop the reminder emails? I turned off overdue invoice notifications but my clients are still getting reminder emails after the due dates

I'm here to ensure you're clients would no longer receive reminder emails, @The Pool Guy.

 

Typically, once you turn off automatic overdue invoice reminders in the Accounts and Settings section, your customer should not receive any notifications.

 

If you have a recurring transaction, we can edit the invoice and uncheck its automatic emails option. To do this, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear (⚙️) icon, then select Recurring Transactions.

  2. Find the recurring template and click Edit.

  3. In your Options section, untick Automatically send emails.
  4. Click Save template.

 

Now your customer won't get automated notifications, and other invoices will stay as they are.

 

If the issue persists, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses. Let's start accessing your account using a different or a private browser. You can use either of these shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

Once fixed, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is done to speed up the process next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks Online. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

 

With emails already sent to your clients, they can just disregard them.
