I'll provide you the steps on how you can text the client an invoice link.
If you're in a process of creating the invoice, you can do it from the invoice page directly. Otherwise, you'll have to re-open the invoice and get the link from there.
Here's how:
Go to the Sales menu and select Customers.
Locate and choose the customer's name from the list.
Locate and open the invoice.
From the Save and close drop-down, select Save and share link.
In the Send your customer a link to their invoice window, click the Copy link button. Then copy and paste it into a text message or another messaging medium.
For your convenience, check out this visual guide.
Let's make sure to add this function for your business needs, Mike.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Self-Employed are two different versions. The major difference between both software is that QBSE is designed for Independent Contractors, while Simple Start is for Small Businesses. That's the reason why QBO has a Sales menu while QBSE doesn't have one.
However, If you're trying to access invoices in QBSE, you can go to the Invoices menu to view them. But, if your main concern is to customize your invoices, you'll want to send feedback to let our product team know how this feature will contribute to your company's needs and convenience. To do so, follow the steps provided below:
In Self-Employed, click the Assistant icon.
In the chat box, type "send feedback."
Select Add a feature.
When asked, we can type something like "Customize invoices."
Send the input, then click Yes.
Furthermore, learn from this article how you can set up online payments so customers can pay you for their invoices electronically. I've added this article for more details: Create Invoices In QuickBooks-Employed.
Please touch base with us here if you have any other concerns about invoices. I'd be glad to help.
