How do you text client invoice or invoice link?

I'll provide you the steps on how you can text the client an invoice link.

If you're in a process of creating the invoice, you can do it from the invoice page directly. Otherwise, you'll have to re-open the invoice and get the link from there.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Sales menu and select Customers.
2. Locate and choose the customer's name from the list.
3. Locate and open the invoice.
4. From the Save and close drop-down, select Save and share link.
5. In the Send your customer a link to their invoice window, click the Copy link button. Then copy and paste it into a text message or another messaging medium.

Is there a way to do this with Quickbooks Self Employed? I have invoices that I can mail and customize but do not see a "Sales" menu.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Self-Employed are two different versions. The major difference between both software is that QBSE is designed for Independent Contractors, while Simple Start is for Small Businesses. That's the reason why QBO has a Sales menu while QBSE doesn't have one. 

However, If you're trying to access invoices in QBSE, you can go to the Invoices menu to view them. But, if your main concern is to customize your invoices, you'll want to send feedback to let our product team know how this feature will contribute to your company's needs and convenience. To do so, follow the steps provided below:

1. In Self-Employed, click the Assistant icon.
2. In the chat box, type "send feedback."
3. Select Add a feature.
4. When asked, we can type something like "Customize invoices."
5. Send the input, then click Yes.

Some of my Customers don't have email, so I want to be able to SMS them the link. 

I recognize the importance of getting paid, @harrojnr. 

I've got a workaround to share for you to send an invoice link to your customer via SMS.

Although the above-mentioned feature is currently unavailable through the QuickBooks Online mobile app, I advise signing in to your QBO company through your phone's browser. 

After that, if you're in the process of creating an invoice, you can do it directly from the invoice page. If not, you'll need to reopen the invoice to get the link. Kindly review my previous response from this thread for the detailed steps.

No Bueno. When I go to safe and share with like, I get the error "add email to share link"

Close the invoice and re-open, no option to share link

Let's resolve the error you encountered so you can send the invoice.

Before clicking the Save and share link button, ensure to enter your customer's email address first. This way, the system will prompt you with the option to copy the link.

Also, if you want to let your customers pay their invoices directly by credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or ACH transfer, you can check this reference: Connect your QuickBooks Payments account to QuickBooks Online.

The issue is that I don't have an email for the customer and want to send the link via SMS. So this doesn't solve anything. 

Going back and forth isn't easy when sending invoice links to customers, @harrojnr.

The option to send the link via SMS without your customer's email address is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I recommend sending us feedback about it. Your ideas and suggestions will be forwarded to our product engineers to help improve your experience with QuickBooks. Here's how:

1. Click on the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback.
3. Fill in your comments or product suggestions. 
4. Then click on Next to submit feedback.
