Hi Michael K.,
I ended up using the trial version so I didn't have to upload the QBM file right away to begin the task that I needed. I saw you sent me a link in another email but was not able to access it through the phone. Later I plan to try to access the link through my laptop.
Thanks!
Pamela
There is no migration path for QBSE. You may be able to migrate from QB Desktop to QB Online.

Restore your QBM file on trial license of Pro 2020. If you couldn't restore it, your data file is too old. Call and ask Intuit Data Service to convert it. Should you need to resolve it in due course, consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service.
Hope it helps.
I need to upload a company file from a portable flash drive. It was loaded previously, but I can't open it now. So I want to reinstall it to QuickBooks.
Hi @bevsmig,
I'll share steps you can take so you can open your portable company file in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
You can create a copy of the QBM file to isolate this issue.
Here's how:
If you're able to open the portable company file's copy at this point, then you can continue to work with it.
Otherwise, see this article to continue the troubleshooting process: Fix portable company file issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Scroll down and look for Step 2: Open a sample company file.
In case you have data issues with your company file itself, check out this article: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file. There are a few options listed as to how you can go about and fix company file issues.
