Hows can I print a Customer List that just shows Customer Info. When I print, it also shows the Job Info and I just want a Customer List

Hello sherri,

I can see why you'd like to remove the job info from the Customer Contact List Report. Did you set up the customer job as sub-customers in QuickBooks? We can customize the report, so it would not show sub-customers. Please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Customer Contact List Report.
  2. Click Customize, then go to Filter.
  3. Look for Customer.
  4. Click the drop down and check all boxes before all parent customers (uncheck all sub-customers/job).
  5. Click Run Report.

I've attached a couple of screenshots as an additional reference. You can always drop a comment below if you have other questions.

I cannot seem to find the "Is sub-customer" box.  My version is QuickBooks Premier Plus Edition 2017.  I always setup a Customer first, then go back and setup a Job.
Pretty sure I am just doing something wrong.  Sorry to be a pain but I am not getting it...

1. Open the Contact List Report.

This post has been very helpful, however I also want to filter out the customers that just have estimates under their account. Is their a way to do this?

Here's how:

  1. Open the Estimates by Customer Report
  2. Click Customize, then press Filter
  3. Check the Estimate Status tick-box and drop-down arrow click All.
  4. Click Run report

@AileneA I'm sorry I'm trying to do the QB Account Desktop 2019 version, and I can't seem to find the Estimates by Customer Report.

We appreciate you for clarifying on what QuickBooks version you're using, MonicaH.

The option to run Estimates by Customer report is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop Accountant 2019. However, you can run the Transaction List by Customer report. Then, filter the report to estimates only.

For the detailed steps, you can follow the instructions below:

  1. Click Reports on the top menu.
  2. Choose Customers & Receivables.
  3. Tick Transaction List by Customer.
  4. Hit Customize Report tab.
  5. Select Filters.
  6. Enter Transaction Type in the Choose Filter field.
  7. Choose Estimate in the Transaction Type drop-down button.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Choose the period in the Dates field. Then, hit Refresh.

Thanks for joining the thread, @SpecialtyTX.

Do you mean you'll want to pull up the customer information on the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries page? However, we're unable to print the details.

If you wish to print the information, you can follow the steps given by my colleague above. Then, click Print at the top.

I've added these links about entering multiple jobs and pulling up reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for reference:
