I added Venmo as a "bank" - but when I mark transactions as sales, they don't show up under the sales tab.

I added Venmo as a "bank" - but when I mark transactions as sales, they don't show up under the sales tab. This is different from what happens when I categorize a PayPal transaction as a sale. With Venmo, I know it works differently but why offer me the "sales" category if it won't put it with my other sales? What am I missing?

Hi thesunshinejar,

PayPal is treated differently that's why their transactions show up in the Sales tab.

Venmo is treated like a bank, so when you categorize the transactions, they directly post to your income account (Sales), but will not show up as sales transactions. That's why you don't see them under Sales because only sales transactions will show up in there.

You can run the Profit and Loss report to see your accumulated income.
