I'm here to share some insights about migrating data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
You may notice some differences and missing data after switching from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. This is because some features and some of your data don't come over from the desktop to the online version.
You can check out this link to learn more: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
To keep your data up-to-date, you'll need to manually import some of your missing data to QuickBooks Online.
I've also added this article for the tips and guide after converting from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online: What to do after you move from QuickBooks Desktop for Windows or Mac to QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you still have questions or other concerns about migrating data. I'll be here to help. Keep safe.
What data are you missing?
You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert a QB Desktop file with certain data (e.g estimates, purchase orders, jobs, attachments, class).
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
