I'll provide an overview about the error and what you can do to fix it.

 

The error "QuickBooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure" when emailing an invoice might be caused by an outdated QuickBooks Desktop release. 

 

You can either do the automatic or manual updates by following the steps below.

 

Set up automatic updates:

 

  1. Go to the Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the Update Now tab. Tip: You can select the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
  3. Select Get Updates to start the download.
  4. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks.
  5. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.

For manual updates, here's how:

 

  1. Close your company files and QuickBooks.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu and search for QuickBooks Desktop. Right-click the icon and select Run as administrator.
  3. While on the No Company Open screen, go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. Go to the Options tab. Select Mark All and then hit Save.
  5. Click the Update Now tab and select the Reset Update checkbox.
  6. When you're ready, press Get Updates.

Once done, reauthorize your QuickBooks Desktop email by following these steps:

 

  1. From the invoice page, select Email.
  2. Click Send, you may be prompted to log in with your Intuit credentials.
  3. Select Continue in the Webmail Authorization window that opens.
  4. Hit Allow.

I am trying to email an invoice and am getting a message "quickbooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure"..what should I do?

The emailing of monthly statement is a frequent process and then I started to get this message "Quickbooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure." The weird thing is that it would send 1 or 2 emails then stop. I was able to send about 20 emails over perhaps 30 minutes. Then I decided to come here. I tried all the suggestions so far. Help! I need to get the statements out.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Many various reasons for the cause of QuickBooks is the inability to send emails due to network connection failure.

 

Some of them are listed here:

  • QuickBooks shows you the Server connection error that means email server configurations are incorrect
  • QuickBooks is not installed properly or stopped while installing in between
  • There are no Windows user admin important rights on QuickBooks so it causes errors while sending emails
  • If there are more than one Windows that are running QuickBooks then you encounter this error
  • You are not connected to the internet properly
  • The MAPI32.dll file is corrupted or damaged
  • You have done the email preference set up incorrectly
  • You have entered the incorrect username or password while logging in into email account
  • In the background, Outlook is already running when trying to send email from QuickBooks so it causes you the error
  • The settings of Internet Explorer are not done correctly which is causing the error in your QuickBooks account while sending an email
  • The QuickBooks is not updated to the latest release.

 

Also, this error arrives due to a settings problem. This can be resolved by doing the correct setup as per the need. 

 

Kindly follow these steps: 

 

  1. Click on Edit from the menu tab.
  2. Choose Preferences.
  3. Press on Send Forms from the left panel.
  4. Select on the My Preferences tab.
  5. Toggle the options in the Send e-mail using box, Select QuickBooks E-mail or Webmail, and then OK.
  6. Close QuickBooks and all other programs.
  7. Restart Computer.
