I don't like the new "schedule bill pay" shortcut option when creating a bill. Can I change it back to just "pay bill" and write a check?

Hello there, @fmazza.

I'd be glad to help you pay your bills without using the schedule bill pay tool. Allow me to share some information when you integrate the Bill.com application in QuickBooks.

The app Bill.com is an app that has a specialized feature when it comes to bill payments. Once this is linked to your QuickBooks company, the Pay Bill tool will be changed to Schedule Bill Pay. Currently, having the tool switch back to Pay Bill is unavailable in QuickBooks.

There's another workaround for this by going directly to the Bill transaction then select the Mark as Paid button. You can also pay the bills by going to the Expense menu. I'll show you how:

  1. From the left pane, go to the Expenses menu and click on the Expenses tab.
  2. Locate the bill you want to pay, then click the Action drop-down button and select Mark as paid. Please refer to the screenshot below.

  3. You'll be routed to the Bill payment window.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Verify the details, then select Save and close

Should you want to make changes or delete your expenses transactions, I recommend reviewing this article to know the steps in managing it: Void or delete a bill or bill payment check.
