I have an invoice mark as paid on July 11th but never received payment in my account. Where do I check to see if this payment went through as well as the history of the money transferred to my bank?

I know the importance of keeping your account accurate with your customer payments, @userjjcbs-llc. That's why I'm here to guide you where you can check the history of the money transferred to your bank and make sure your transactions are updated.

When you process your customer payments online, the deposit speed will depend on the product you're using and the type of payment you process. If you're a new user, we'll deposit your first set of payments within 5 business days. Once we set up your account, we'll usually deposit customer payments much faster.

In case there's an issue with a payment, you should receive an email from us. Then, you can check the history of the payment by visiting your account in the Merchant Service Center. It keeps a complete record of your payment activity. Let me guide you how.

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. From the homepage, select Activities & Reports.
  3. Choose Deposits.
  4. Select the date range in the Dates field.
  5. Select Search.

There'll be a Withheld or Batch Deposit Returned status for any issues with the customer payment. Just go to the drop-down arrow under the Fee column to review the details.

After checking the status and we deposited the payments, your money is on its way. Please know that some banks hold onto funds after we deposit them. With this, you'll need to work with your bank for additional verification steps.

When your bank confirmed that there's no issue on their end, I'd recommend contacting our Merchant Services team. They can further check the reason you're unable to receive payment in your account.

Once your payments are downloaded in your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account, all you have to do is categorize them. To learn more about it, you can check out this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It also includes information about income and expense categories in QBSE.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.

Well I'm even more confused now. I was present when the transaction was completed, the invoice reads paid on my end, but there is no history of any transactions in my merchant account.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @userjjcbs-llc,

Since no transaction is yet posted into your bank account, I'd recommend contacting our Merchant Services Team. With their tools, a specialist can pull up your account, securely, and review the history of your invoice payment.

To do so, here's an article you can read for the official contact information of our dedicated support: Contact Payments Support.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about our support hours and types: Support hours and types.

Lastly, I've got you these references you can read for ideas about frequently asked questions related to your account: QuickBooks Payments FAQ.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, let me know by leaving a comment. I'll be here to lend a hand.
