How do I change the start number for invoices and PO? Just gertting statred with QB abd I don’t wnat to start with “1"

Tab to the number field and enter what ever number you like, once saved QB will continue the sequence.

I just switched from QB for Windows to Mac - I had to change the invoice numbers 10+times before it finally saved my numbers -- I'm having the same problem with check numbers -- the Mac version just pulled an old check number out of who knows where and I can't get it to change - I have to delete and input the desired number each and every time.
