I appreciate you letting us know about the situation you're currently experiencing, @Applelisa. I'm here to help connect your Bank of America credit card to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
May I know if you receive any specific error message while connecting your Bank of America credit card? This will help me investigate further and provide accurate resolution to your concerns.
Yes, we can only connect one credit card as the parent account. Since you have two individual credit cards under it, we can add them as sub-accounts.
You'll need to be aware of how your bank transmits the downloaded transactions while configuring credit cards in QuickBooks Online. Connect only the parent account if all transactions are downloaded to one account. However, you can create sub-accounts if the transactions are downloaded to the individual accounts.
Please know that we’re unable to link both a parent account and its sub-accounts. You will see a message stating that the account is already connected if you attempt to do so. To learn more about them, please refer to this article: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.
In the meantime, you can manually download the transactions from your credit card's website. After that, import them to QBO using a CSV file. You'll want to read through the process from this reference: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
Once everything looks good, check out these resources to help you with reviewing your credit card transactions and matching them to your statements:

Another option, explore MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
