I need help in connecting our BOA credit Cards to QB so that it will bring in business expenses.

I am a refugee from GoDaddy Bookkeeping. I signed up for the $500 Bookkeeping package to get me set up correctly on a new system. They did the setup from eBay statements and Bank of America Statements. That worked fine for the initial setup. I indicated my goal was to use the eBay App and the QB Bank Connection to bring in my expenses from my business credit card. I wanted to do my own accounting after everything was set up correctly. The eBay connection worked fine from the start with no issues. However, the BOA credit card situation is a mess. They have a corporate Account with our two individual credit cards under that structure. I have never been able to connect the C/Cs. I am now paying for the 3rd month of support because I can't get this to work. The connected Corporate Account shows the balance due on the account but does not bring over any detailed expenses from the cards. One of the QB support staff told me that under the BOA structure, only one credit card could be connected. I can't even get that to work.

I appreciate you letting us know about the situation you're currently experiencing, @ApplelisaI'm here to help connect your Bank of America credit card to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

May I know if you receive any specific error message while connecting your Bank of America credit card? This will help me investigate further and provide accurate resolution to your concerns.

Yes, we can only connect one credit card as the parent account. Since you have two individual credit cards under it, we can add them as sub-accounts.

You'll need to be aware of how your bank transmits the downloaded transactions while configuring credit cards in QuickBooks Online. Connect only the parent account if all transactions are downloaded to one account. However, you can create sub-accounts if the transactions are downloaded to the individual accounts.

Please know that we’re unable to link both a parent account and its sub-accounts. You will see a message stating that the account is already connected if you attempt to do so. To learn more about them, please refer to this article: About bank or credit card subaccount setup

In the meantime, you can manually download the transactions from your credit card's website. After that, import them to QBO using a CSV file. You'll want to read through the process from this reference: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Once everything looks good, check out these resources to help you with reviewing your credit card transactions and matching them to your statements:

@Applelisa

Another option, explore MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
