I need to deposit checks into my Quickbooks check.

I receive royalty checks as a publisher, but they are made out to my business name.  How can I add check deposits to my account?

I need to deposit checks into my Quickbooks check.

No, that is not what I'm talking about.

I receive checks made out to my DBA, not my legal name.

I need to be able to deposit said checks into my Quickbooks checking.

You can use mobile check deposit for depositing checks into your QuickBooks Checking account.

Before making a deposit, you'll want to make sure you don't need the funds immediately. Funding can take 1 - 5 business days. You'll also want to confirm it meets our requirement of being a business or personal check.

Here's a list of checks that can't be deposited:

  • Savings bonds
  • Travelers checks
  • Credit card check
  • US Treasury checks
  • 3rd party checks (not payable to you)
  • Non-demand deposit account (post no debits)
  • Line of credit, home equity, or a brokerage check
  • Foreign checks (routing number not registered by the American Banking Association)

If your check meets the requirements, it can be deposited:

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
  2. Go to Cash Flow.
  3. From your QuickBooks Checking balance screen, tap Send Money.
  4. Hit Deposit checks.
  5. Enter an amount. It can't more than the limit shown on your screen.
  6. Endorse the check by signing your name on its backside and writing "For mobile deposit only" under the signature. Also be sure to take clear photos of the front and back of it.
  7. Review your check amount and the date your funds will be available.
  8. Select Finish depositing.

After making a deposit with the mobile check deposit feature, be sure to keep your check for 10 business days in case Intuit needs it for verification or research purposes.

I've also included a couple detailed resources about working with our mobile check deposit feature which may come in handy moving forward:

I need to deposit checks into my Quickbooks check.

The tab that says "Deposit Checks"  is in Grey, and cannot be clicked.  Adjacent to the button, it says "in research."  Is this feature not part of my subscription?  Is this a glitch?

I set up payments a while ago.  I am not seeing what you're talking about. I have attached a screen shot of how it looks on the app.

Hi there, fathatcreative-g.

I appreciate you adding a screenshot with the details you've shared above. Allow me to chime in and provide information about the mobile check deposit.

Mobile check deposit isn't available to all customers. If you don't see the option, you may not be eligible yet, regardless of the operating system on your phone.

To become eligible, your QuickBooks Checking account must be active and in good standing.

Furthermore, I suggest contacting our Merchant Services team.  They can run a remote viewing session to help identify the root cause of this matter and apply a fix.

Check this article to give you more information about mobile check deposit feature:
