I pay for Joist app for invoices. It's supposed to sync to QB. I can't find my invoices to connect with payments anymore, I did once, now I can't find them, only QB

Online QB and desktop don't communicate well and now I can't find where my Joist invoices are so that I can match them up to payments received in my bank or by check. So frustrated I paid so much for this program and it is so freaking unuser- friendly. Even help topics only go to pay for ours, not link to what you have that is already working.

It’s good to have you here, @andersonplumbing

I understand the convenience of having your invoice transactions from Joist synced to QuickBooks Online. I'm here to help you find them and guide you with matching it to their payments.

QuickBooks Online is dependent on the information that is shared by Joist. To find out why your invoices aren't synchronizing or to see if there are any settings you need to adjust, I'd recommend contacting Joist's support team.

If you have other users, they might have accidentally deleted your invoices. You'll want to check the Audit log to verify if this is the case. I’ll show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
  2. Click Filter to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  3. Tap Apply.image.png

If you’re unable to see your invoices, you’ll need to import them again in the system. See this article for more details: Import multiple invoices at once. Please know that you can do this with the Advanced and Plus version only.

You can also pull-up the Invoice List or Invoices and Received Payments report to monitor your invoices, as well as your income and receivables. This way, you'll be able to quickly review them on a single page.

Here’s how:

  1. On the left pane, go to the Reports menu.
  2. Enter the report name on the Search bar.
  3. Select the Customize button and Filter the report.
  4. Click Run report.image.png

You can create an attractive and professional-looking invoices to add the info that matters most to your business. To know more about this process, you can check out this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

For future reference, you can read about receiving invoice payments to learn how to record payments in various ways. This way, we can ensure that your accounts are balanced.

Visit me here again in the Community and keep me posted on your progress with locating your invoices and payments. I'm determined to help you further with any QuickBooks-related tasks. Stay safe.
