Let me help you with your invoice concerns in QuickBooks, @PYINFO.
Sometimes local internet cache files stored in the system can cause unexpected behavior in the product. This might be the reason why you're seeing a letter T next to the total of your line item.
To check, we can run some basic troubleshooting steps to determine the issue. Let's start by accessing your account in a private window. This is also known as incognito which doesn't record your browsing activity.
Here's how:
Once done. try creating a sample invoice and check if you're still seeing the letter.
If not, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If yes, try using another supported browser. The issue might steam from the browser itself.
Also, I'll be adding this handy resource to help track your sales in QuickBooks Online: How to see your best sellers, what’s on hand, the cost of goods, and more.
Please keep me posted if you have any other concerns when creating your transactions in QuickBooks. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. You can reach out to the Community at any time. Take care and have a great day!
That means that item is Taxable. This just started happening me. It's on all items (products, services, etc.), even those that are not even set up as taxable, and the taxable box is not checked on the line. It shouldn't be there. The templates also changed to include a tax line total, even though it's zero (because it wasn't a taxable item). I haven't heard what happened nor how to fix it.
Thanks for joining this thread and sharing your experience, @RhondaQBUser.
I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team support. This way, they can check why you're getting a T on each line item on the invoice. They can also raise a ticket to our engineering team to alert them about the issue if necessary.
Here's how:
I'm also adding this article to learn how to style your forms to make them more eye-catching: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.
Please come back and post if you need assistance in personalizing your templates. I'll be happy to help you out. Have a good one.
