It really comes down to cost.  I've been using my QBO subscription for years as I used to be self employed.  Now, I  do this on the side.  I do not use the bells and whistles - no payroll; no inventory; no time tracking; no recurring entries; no project tracking.  Just some invoices and collections, and journal entries for payments.    Then, produce a report for the tax man.  I see online that I am paying 2X what the competitor offers, and honestly am struggling with retaining this subscription just for nostalgia.
