I would like to reorder products from a "preferred vendor"! I have read you do this from the products and services>reorder. It does not work.

In addition if there was a way to select a vendor and see what products they have in your system and reorder based on inventory or even non inventory status. Basically create a po off a checklist. Too many times we place an order and skip something else they may have had in our system.

Hello there, @TBell2.

I've tried this on my test company and can confirm that the vendor and item will automatically fill on the Purchase Order after clicking the Reorder option.

To check for any potential cache issue impacting the purchase order, let's do some basic troubleshooting steps. We can start by opening an incognito or private browser. This mode will not save your browsing history.

You can use these keyboard shortcuts:

• Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N

• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P

• Safari: Command Option P

Next, sign in to your QuickBooks Online account and reorder again. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Finally, restart your browser to refresh the settings.

In addition, you can try using a different supported browser.

To help manage your vendors in QuickBooks Online, feel free to watch a video tutorial in this article: How to add and manage vendors in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep us posted on how it goes from your end. We want to make sure this issue is resolved for you. Take care always.

Hi there, @TBell2. I'll share with you the details on how to reorder inventory products in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

May I know the specific issue you had when trying to reorder items in QBO? This way, I can guide you on the exact resolution to fix the issue. On the other hand, you follow these steps to reorder products from your QBO account:

  1. Check if you have low stock or out-of-stock items.
    1. Go to Sales then Products and Services.
    2. At the top, you’ll quickly see if you have low stock or out-of-stock items. Select Low stock or Out of stock to see those items.
  2. Create and send a purchase order.
    1. Click on Sales and then Products and Services.
    2. Select Low Stock or Out of stock. If you need to reorder both low-stock and out-of-stock products from the same vendor, don’t use any of the filters at the top.
    3. Click the products as needed. Above the list of products, you will see a drop-down menu.
    4. Select Batch Actions, then Reorder. This creates a purchase order for a single vendor.
    5. Complete all the details of the purchase order, or add other items you need to reorder from the vendor.
    6. Tap Save and send.
  3. Track what you receive from your vendor.

You may also review this link for additional resources about re-ordering low or out of stock items in QBO: Reorder inventory or supplies from vendors.

On the other hand, you can get more resources while handling your other inventory entries from this video article: Set up and track your inventory in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other questions about the process, let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!

That is everything I have done.  I tried again.  It doesn't matter if I go to low stock, out of stock, or without a filter, the vendor is blank when I select batch reorder.
