When you delete your current QBO account or file, you can extract your reports or data to Excel to save your old data.

If you have QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can alternatively export and convert your QBO data to QBDT.
Please know that one business account is equivalent to one QBO subscription. Thus, you need to purchase or sign up two QBO accounts when setting up your two different businesses.

You should open 2 new blank QBO accounts

then for the old account, consider to convert it to QB Desktop file format for your archive before canceling it.
