Inventory Valuation having entered all of the values and quantities correctly 90% of the Inventory Valuation Detail is correct but some 4 items show 0?

I have checked and there is absolutely no difference in the items that do show a value. The zero is on the report only not on the product listing?

Thank you for sharing the details of your concern, Glenn. I'm here to help you with running your Inventory Valuation Detail report accordingly.

There shouldn't be any issues with your items since they're posted correctly on your products or services listing. To isolate the issue, I recommend modifying the dates of your report. I'll guide you on how.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click on Reports at the left pane, then open the Inventory Valuation Detail report.
  3. Filter the dates from the Report period section.
  4. Tap on the Run report tab to refresh the page.

From there, review the values and quantities of your items.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately none of this made the slightest difference. The figures are entered correctly as you will see from the attached screen shots.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @glenn-rv-mods-co.

You can try viewing your Inventory Valuation Detail report using a private browser or incognito browser. This way, we can isolate this unexpected report behavior for the possible browser-related issues. You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  •  For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Once logged in, you can try generating your inventory valuation detail report again.

On the other hand, you may have a recurring transaction that may have caused the difference with the quantity on hand. Also, you can check for any returned transaction or inventory quantity adjustments that affect the quantity-on-hand of your inventory items.

None of these suggestion work. I spent an hour yesterday on a chat session with QB support which the end result was that it would be passed on to another team. I really did expect a higher level of support for this product. Now I'm left with the dilemma whether or not to continue with QB or dump it for something that works.

If these basic stock figures are wrong, what's to say that the accounts data will be right. The stock control part of this package was the main reason why I purchased this software !!
