Join nowI see that I just 'leveled up' via QB for my number of posts read. This does not surprise me, as I've been searching for answers to my same two questions for three years. Hooray, it's like a video game.
I'm not sure that I would call this "unique". Any QB user with customers who drop ship or have multiple orders each month for a specific customer would benefit from this.
If you find a better program let us know. I too am ready to switch from Quickbooks due to lack of customer support. Every thread here gets the same canned response from them. They clearly aren't working on it nor do they intend to. Very basic features like paying from a statement, ability to send the same bill to several customers, passing on credit card fees for the customers to pay all have their own threads and no solutions. We don't want work arounds, we want basic features.
Hi,
Is there a way to send payment link along with latest invoice and get paid for the entire balance amount from client.
As of now there is a workaround that we have to ask our customers to edit the amount while making payment using the latest link. However this is not a fesible option all the time as the customers may get irritated doing this.
Let me know if there is any option.
Over THREE YEARS AGO - April 26, 2020 to be exact - the first request came through on this. Regardless the
Intuit still doesn't listen. No wonder there are more accounting software options available on the open market.
What's the deal here? Why not correct the issue at hand? Put users on a board whose sole purpose is to make sure the developers/coders are getting the message and are addressing the problems that users want addressed. Colorful dashboards are great but they mean nada as long as users are not able to get the software to work as needed. If we run our business using work arounds all the time, then we loose focus of the goal and all is lost.
There has been one simple request for years on the table - give us the ability to allow our Clients to pay a statement balance with a credit card. If there is no intention of correcting this oversight by the developers of QBs, then just tell us so that we can quit wasting out time asking!
Why hasn’t there been any movement in getting the “pay from invoice” feature implemented? Paying from statements is a basic need when running any business. It only makes good sense to have this feature available.
I understand your frustration and recognize the importance of having the feature added in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @fatboygunz.
However, we still don't have information on when this feature will be available. To address your concern, I recommend directly conveying your feedback to our Product Developers. They are responsible for considering and implementing new features in future updates. By sharing your feedback with them, you can help them understand the importance of this feature.

Earlier this month, I explained it to one of my customers like this:
It is now 2024 and I am not finding any change in how to help customers pay off a multi-invoice statement with a single paylink without the clunky workaround.
Asking us to submit our requests yet another way isn't helpful.
Please point the QB developers at the 3, almost 4, years of frustrations voiced in this thread.
Are you really taking note of users' feedback. This has been an issue for YEARS and nothing has been done to fix it.
Agree!! Any updates or work around ideas for what you list?
Are you sending a statement with a payment link
I can share a workaround that are beneficial to you and your client for this case
+ You can accept payments for free directly to your bank account or by check
+ Your client can pay multiple bills in a single payment to lower the processing fee by credit card/debit card or for free by ACH
+ You opt not to share your account number and routing number if you prefer to receive the payment directly to your bank account
- You will have to reconcile the invoice payments manually in QBO
- Your client have to use a free billing management app to pay the bills.
Please do share.
You can ask your client to signup for a free Melio account as a stand-alone app. If your client is using QBO or Xero, they can integrate it with Melio.

They can also get the cashback to pay the first bill.

Ensure your client to click the Get $100 cashback button to signup.
Thank you. I just did a quick review and it looks like QBO is doing away with the melio integration - I received a few emails on that.
can you link me to melio pricing?
They have discontinued BillPay by Melio. But you can still signup as a stand alone app for free as I mentioned earlier and integrate it with QBO or Xero. You can also check this one.
