We're unable to change to position of the PAID stamp on invoices, eglshop.
I think this would be a great option though. Feel free to visit on our Feedback page, and join the thread about this. You can open this link: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com/forums/168199-quickbooks-online-feature-requests/suggestions/3265278....

I agree! Given that you can customize the invoices it's essential to be able to place this stamp where it will nt interfere with important information. Users need the ability to move this.
I find the location of the "paid" stamp very annoying. It covers up the items my customers purchased so as a receipt for them it is also annoying. Please move it to a bottom corner or somewhere out of the way.
We literally have to send some of our clients two invoices all because of the placement of the stamp. They, and we need to see the part numbers before the stamp deems them unreadable. Then they need to have an invoice marked paid. PLEASE MOVE THE STAMP!!!!
We also have this issue, customers cannot see the items they have ordered because of this Paid stamp. Would be great if we had the option to move it to another location on the invoice.
Hi there, @Mac101.
Thank you for joining this thread. I'm happy to help you sort out the paid stamp being in the center of the page.
After reviewing this thread, my colleague @JessT provided the correct information about this issue. At this time QuickBooks Online doesn't have this feature. I'm happy to submit feedback to our Product Development Team in hopes that this is something they could add soon.
Also, for future updates, you can follow the QuickBooks Firm of the Future websites to receive QBO updates.
If you have any more QuickBooks questions, please don't hesitate to comment back to this thread. Have a wonderful weekend!
+1
This needs fixing.
The options need to be whether to have the stamp at all AND where it is needs to be customizable.
There are two facets to this.
1) The option should be whether to display PAID or remove it entirely. The balance of the invoice already shows zero. It's not really needed.
2) Where a QuickBooks user does want to see the PAID label, the location should be entirely customizable.
Hello, @Radiotronics.
At this time, we aren't able to remove or customize the location of the PAID stamp status on invoices. I understand the importance of this feature for you and your business. That being said, I'll take note of this and send the information to our product engineers. This way, they'll be able to know and work and may consider this feature in the coming updates.

When can we expect the PAID stamp to be moved. It is ridiculous to continue to have this stamp cover vital info on invoices!
Hello there, @max91253.
I'm here to inform you that we don't have a specific time frame as to when this option would be added.
I hear you and realize the convenience of having the ability to eliminate the paid stamp on the invoice. Know that our developers are constantly assessing and considering features that can be added into the system to better serve you.

Surely they could very easily just change the layering so it is behind the invoice text or change the paid stamp so its transparent, not with a white fill. 2 very easy fixes that would take 5mins for an engineer to change.
As Applicance repairers/sellers the stamp placement covers up vital information such as model/serial numbers that the customer needs to see in order to register the product. This needs to be sorted quickly please!
Threads on this issue have been ongoing since at least January 2019. That said it's now July 2020 & it's obviously an issue STILL. Can you ask the programmers to at the very least move the Paid stamp to the very top of the invoice as you've chosen to place it over VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION??
Frustrated with QB Online in Utah...
:(
I agree,
We use the invoice as a bill of sale and it is cutting of the serial number, this needs to change or the invoices are useless to us.
Almost 2 years later and still no fix. QBO needs to get it together!
Over a year of waiting now for a five minute fix, it seems as though they are just ignoring this issue now. Ridiculous, sort it out!

Yes there is! It has taken me years and finally I can place it at the right side under the Payment or Balance Due. This is what I did. Go to Gear symbol on the top right of the page. Click on it and select
"Custom Form Styles". Once you are in this section look for : Name - Standard. Form Type: Master. If you can make it the default under the down arrow on the right side then do that. I could not. So what I did was delete the other two invoice templates that I had forcing the Standard Master template to be the default. Then click on edit beside the Master template. Then click on Design. Then : Change up the template. Select: Airy New. This one will give you the paid stamp in the correct place. Good luck! I'm pretty happy it works for me now.

Fantastic. Thanks very much. I was able to change my existing invoice template to the Airy New style and it worked for me.
Thank YOU so much for sharing this....Made all the difference in customers' paid receipts for their records.
Amazing!! I have been trying to figure this out and it was driving me crazy! Was scanning this blog from the 2019 posts getting discouraged that the QB folks kept pushing for people to submit feedback vs fixing the issue but so very glad I continued scrolling. Its sad when the folks over at QuickBooks Support can't help and have no clue of these alternatives. Again thank you so much!!
The paid stamp should also include the date paid. The airy template should not be the only template that allows me to get the paid stamp out of the way.
