We have about 15 custom reports that were created using the old report formats that we've been using for several years. These reports are emailed via the scheduled report function to various groups of people on the 9th of each month.
I've been trying to convert these reports to the newer report format but I'm running into several issues that I hope can be addressed or workable options presented:
1) I do not see how to group multiple new custom reports into a single group so those reports can be emailed with one email. This function has existed for a long time with the old reports but now I cannot edit the group options such as email recipients or schedule. (This edit option has been reported to QBO but so far no responses).
2) I tried to add the new custom report to a Management Report so I could group them but the custom reports don't report any data, regardless of the timeframe I select. I can still add an old report and the data shows, just no data from a custom report.
3) I would like the ability to schedule and email .pdf versions of some reports, not just Excel versions, as not all our users are familiar with Excel. I do not see this option except for using the Management Report, which is not working with the custom reports.
Thanks
Hi there, phylwith.
I appreciate you reaching out and providing detailed information about your concern with the Management report. I'm here to let you know that your opinion and feedback are greatly appreciated.
Here at Intuit, it's our goal to address the needs of every QuickBooks user around the globe and make sure you get the best experience possible. I understand the importance of utilizing the Management report feature to address the needs of your business.
At this time, grouping multiple new custom reports into a single group so they can be emailed with one email isn't an option. As well as adding a new custom report to a management report and having the ability to schedule and email .pdf versions of some reports. While the abilities you're looking for aren't available in the Management report, you can consider using a third-party tool that can help you with your business needs.
While we continue to make your experience with us even better, in the meantime, I recommend sending this request straight to our product engineers through feedback. It helps us improve the features of the program.

@phylwith just in case you want confirmation of what Intuit's team member actually just told you, here is a summary without the fluffy platitudes:
1. Intuit removed this feature. No warning. Yes it worked fine for you all this time and was essential to your workflow. But it's gone now and they are not providing other options.
2. You should consider other software to fulfill your business needs that Intuit is no longer going to support. (If you have any ideas on Quickbook alternatives, please share! Our business also has the goal of moving to different software that has the features that Quickbooks has recently removed.)
3. Although you took the time to provide feedback here on the forum, no one cares. Yes, a paid Intuit team member read and even replied to your feedback, but they will not be forwarding it up the chain to get it fixed in any way.
Hope that helps!
Yes - pbj10 - you are exactly right. It is time to look for other options. Frustrating for sure.
I am having the same issue. It allows us to create a new management report and add reports to it but it does not save the customization. Does anyone know if this is work in progress? I have already exhausted the help menu.
Adding management reports to custom reports is currently unavailable, @D Lane.
I suggest raising this with our software engineers so they can look into adding it as a feature in the next update to meet the business needs of our users. Here's how:
The more requests this gets, the more it is to be implemented.
