Buy now & saveOMG After the latest upgrade many of our memorized reports either vanished or opens a completely different report! I followed the guidance from QB to fix and after relocating the corrupt reports I started a new report group and recreated 6 reports. They are fine on my desktop but other users are not getting the new rebuilt reports? One user opens the report and it contains a column that is not even in the column listing??? What is happening?
I appreciate you taking some troubleshooting steps to address this issue, Anne by following the guidance from QuickBooks and recreating the reports. I'm here to assist you through any further steps needed to ensure everything is running smoothly.

I am on the verge of crying. Your answer is not helpful. We just updated our file and that is when this horrible issue started. I guess I will call in about it. But I know you are aware because after the upgrade a pop up message was in Quickbooks discussing this issue and the troubleshooting steps (which do NOT work)
Anne, have you seen the advice to update (again!) to a version that has the fix made to memorized reports? Look for the "Important Note" about halfway thru the article "Fix memorized reports that open with unexpected results" (says it was updated about 6 hours ago). Updating QBks Desktop Enterprise 24.0 to R13_51 worked for me. To find your version use F2 at the main QBks screen. Good luck! Meeg, 3/6/2025
I experienced the same issue. I have been using a checking account transaction register report for many months and it has always had the same columns. Today after being warned that there's a critical update, I installed the latest version. The same report that I used in the past has three new columns that aren't even checked in the customize report section. And three columns that I used to have were unchecked, so I added them back.
The report that I have been using was a contributed report and I just tweaked it for my company file. It was listed among the reports that I saved and ran recently. I run this report after the end of every month so my auditor can match transactions in QB to my financial institution's statement. I download the report to Excel where I use a macro to format it. Of course the macro doesn't work when the columns are different. So now I'm dealing with a workaround so I can give my auditor the correct information. This is very frustrating.
I was able to fix the memorized reports problem by following the directions to "reset update" and then "Get Updates". Hope this will work for you.
I ran another update this evening and it still didn't fix it! Was on the phone with Quickbooks and the rep said he would leave my case open because he hasn't come across something like this, he thought the update fixed everything. Nope! I'm using R13_51 and even did a rebuild per his recommendation and it still won't work! I have 4 company files and dozens of memorized reports in each company, the amount of time I've already wasted and will now have to waste to try and build them from scratch is absolute BS!
Just so you are aware, that doesn't work! I updated again this evening and did a rebuild on my file per your reps instructions, still not working! The rep has left the case open and has said he hopes a fix comes soon, but that doesn't do any good when I am wasting so many hours trying to fix what Quickbooks broke with an update. It would appear the only solution is to rebuild every report from scratch! How is this okay?! These were custom and specialized reports, some created over a decade ago by a different bookkeeper! This should be a lot of fun trying to figure out how they even created the report in the first place!
I followed the directions that are supposed to fix memorized report problems — running QB as an administrator, resetting updates and re-loading updates. I launched the report that was incorrect after the previous update. It had mostly reverted to the way it was before the update, except that it again had a column that was not there before. Thankfully, this column can be checked in the customize report dialog box and I unchecked it so that the report is now back to what it should be. My reporting activity is minuscule compared to many other users, so I can't even begin to imagine how utterly frustrating this must be for them!
Are you able to print them? Because they display fine on the screen after I add the needed columns and remove the unnecessary ones. The real problem is coming when I try to print them and all of a sudden they disappear again.
