Good day, tinav73. Let me share some information about merging two QuickBooks accounts, enabling you to manage them seamlessly.
Currently, there isn't a direct option to merge a QuickBooks Online Payroll account with a QuickBooks Online account. These are separate subscriptions with different functionalities.
In your case, you'll need to start fresh your QBO Payroll and make it an add-on in your QBO account. If you want to cancel your payroll service be sure to export and save copies of your reports. You can also contact our Customer Support Team for assistance with your account. They can provide guidance on the best method to manage your two QuickBooks account.
Once done, you can now turn on the payroll in your QBO account. Let me guide you on how:
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using your credentials.
- From the Dashboard, click on the Gear icon located in the upper-right corner.
- Select Subscriptions and Billing underneath the Your Company heading.
- Look for QuickBooks Payroll.
- Choose the payroll plan that suits your business needs and click on the Buy Now button.
- Review the details of your payroll subscription and click on the Continue button.
Once done, you can browse this article that will guide you in setting up your QBOP account and how to start up your payroll. For more details, see this article: Get Started with QuickBooks Online Payroll.
For your old transactions, you can enter prior payroll transactions along with the payments you have made to your employees. For more details on how to enter your employee’s year-to-date paycheck info and company totals, see this article: Add pay history to QuickBooks Online Payroll.
Furthermore, I will share these links that will guide you in creating your paychecks and running payroll reports to view the transactions you have created:
