Whoever marked this solved is stupid. It is not solved. It is becoming a nightmare to manage mileage appropriately. You should fire your product team and start over. This has caused so many issues with reimbursements that I told employees we are no longer paying mileage. This is your fault Intuit and you need to fix this. Yes, I am pissed off because this software went so far backwards with this crap.
The answer is incorrect for QB Enterprise Solutions 24.0.
Under the Company menu, there is no option for Enter Vehicle Mileage. There is a Track vehicle mileage option, but that brings up a list of trips in random order that cannot be edited. (Why aren't they sorted by date? I wouldn't have created a duplicate trip if my recent trip has appeared chronologically!)
If I select Manage->Vehicle, and then I can select a vehicle and list various reports, none of which can be deleted or edited!
Why is it not possible to do the most fundamental of common tasks, namely correct an error?
The "Enter Vehicle Mileage" and the "Track Vehicle Mileage" options are two similar features in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). From there, you can log and review your trips, Chelmite.
The order of the trips displayed is based on the sequence in which they are created in the system and not by the trips themselves.
For instance, if a trip from January is entered after a trip from March, the January trip will appear below the March trip in the list. This setup is designed based on entry time to enhance flexibility in adding data.
You have the option to edit trips in QBDT, but approved trips cannot be modified. This means that any changes to the trip details, such as the date, starting and ending locations, distance, and purpose, cannot be made once the trip has been approved.
If you need to make changes to the trips that are approved, you can switch back to the Basic Mode for tracking mileage and manually put in the transactions. To switch back to the basic version, follow these steps:

OMG. Finally someone that pays attention to solve the problem. This IS the solution. Something as simple as this and no one picked up on what we have been saying for 3 years until now. Nicole, thank you.
The downside is it removes all of the mileage entered in advanced mode, so we have to go back an re-enter them all. I can live with entering 6 months of mileage entries.
Thank you!
I agree with you. Someone like @Nicole_N should be given credits. This is the answer I'm searching for weeks now. Thank you Nicole, i hope QuickBooks will give more credits to those who really pays attention to what we need.
