I have created a Dummy company to practice on before going live on another company I have set up in QB called WTC. I have created a customized invoice template as well as a customized statement template for WTC and would like to import them or copy and paste them into the Dummy company to play with before actually going live with the WTC company. Can you give me instructions on how to accomplish this? Thanks Fred

Thank you for the instructions on how to export and import a customize invoice from one company to another. Have another question, once I had imported the customized invoice some of the data that was used within the customized invoice was not imported in and I'm curious if you know why?
As a resolution to the problem I went into the imported invoice and added items to the Item List; added Rates; added Reps and added Types. I was under the impression when you exported a customized invoice or any report, from one company to another, that when it was imported into the new company it came in its entirety. Is this what is supposed to happen or does it actually leave data behind that has to be re-created?
The customized headers and columns remain the same after the import and were unchanged.
Thank you
Fred
Hello again, FredW2.
I appreciate following the solution shared by my peer and letting us know the result. Let me provide clarifications of why some of the items didn’t show after importing the custom template.
The default item names for the customized invoice are the ones that will appear after the import process. For the other item names, you’ll have to activate them so they’ll show on the template.
