Need to pay a vendor by ACH. It says estimated delivery date Oct. 4. Does it normally take a week? Vendor needs this tomorrow.

This should not take a week. Am I doing something wrong?

As I know QB BillPay takes 5 business days to complete payments via ACH. You should consider signing up for a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO and using their Fast ACH payments for up to $30. Your vendor will receive payment the same day.

As an additional perk, you can get $100 as cashback to pay the first bill.

An Automated Clearing House (ACH) generally takes 1–3 days and a maximum of 5 days to process, @tomcat8662. I’m here to share information on how electronic fund transfers work.

The ACH payments in QuickBooks Online don't take a week to process unless you’re new to the method, and it doesn’t fall on weekends and holidays. Please know that we need to validate the account to make sure the transfer of funds will be successful.

Moreover, some banks may have specific cut-off times for processing transactions. You can contact your bank and our Payment support team for assistance. They can provide more specific information about the estimated delivery date and help you expedite the payment if necessary.

Moving forward, you can schedule a check payment before adding the vendor's bank account if it needs to be made immediately.

These resources provide ways to access each vendor's records and edit and view the status of their transactions. It also contains adequate details about the transfer method:

You can reach out anytime if you have additional queries about your vendor events. I’ve got you covered.
