While we're unable to provide exact dates for when this issue will be fixed, I encourage you to contact our Customer Care Team to get updates about this concern. They can add you to our notification list, and you'll receive an email once an update is available.

In the meantime, you'll want to utilize the information shared by Rose_A above. This shows another way to send a W9 form to your contractors aside from email.

Hello All,

We did a bit of troubleshooting and found the solution. If the Contractor is an individual and you have already created the profile awhile ago, you will not be able to send and email. However, if you go to

- Payroll

-Contractors

- Select the contractor

-Select "Edit Personal"

-Select "Business"

-Update with their name and Save.

This should take you out of the page and you will see "Send email reminder"

We will covert the contractor back to individual once they have completed setting up their profile.

It seems QuickBooks's staff is not much help when it comes to this stuff.
