New invoice layout adding quantity to markup line

Hello -

I'm running into an issue with the new invoice layout. My previous template is "old" but I cannot find a new template I like.

Because of that, when using the "new layout", the the markup line autopopulates to add "1" to the quantity, which increases my sale line item quantity by one each time. The only way to stop this is to put "0" in the markup line.

Any other ideas besides having to remove the "1" and change it to "0" for each line?

Is there a good look at the "new" templates? The Modern template doesn't work for me because we do not accept payments through Quickbooks (has a "Pay Here" button at the bottom) and I do not want our income categories listed on the invoice.

I've been disappointed with the new layouts of the invoices and the bills. I wish the layout / entry column sizes remained the same once they're set.

Hello there, Pamela.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the new invoice layout in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We understand how important it is to ensure a seamless experience while managing your transactions, and we continuously strive to improve our program features to enhance your experience with QBO. As such, we are gradually rolling out new updates that include the new invoice layout.

We encourage you to submit your feedback requests to our product developers within your QBO account. This will help our team to better understand your concerns and suggestions and improve your experience while using the program.

To send feedback, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

As part of this update, some users will migrate to the new experience, and QBO will soon make this the default experience for all users and subscriptions. However, if you prefer to continue using the old layout, you can switch back by following these steps:

  1. In the left menu, click the +New button.
  2. Choose Invoice.
  3. On the top-right corner, click the Old layout button.
  4. Tap the Switch layout button.
  5. Enter or select the necessary details.
  6. Click the Leave and submit button.
