Hi TDK Ewusi,
I've got good news! You can absolutely use multiple inventory locations using the advanced inventory feature in QuickBooks Desktop. You can create multiple sites and create bin locations for other addressable unit of space in each location. You can check the Create inventory sites section in this article to see complete details:

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help with your advanced inventory feature.

Open Help and read on "Warehouse Sites." You are asking about Sites.
"what if I want to designate the site/location as Sales Reps name"
Open Lists menu > Other Names List. Put the Warehouse Name here. Now add this name as a Sales Rep. Now, use that field on your transactions.
"and sell out of their location when I received invoices from the field from them and also transfer inventory from the main warehouse to them."
Then you want them for Two Functions: One is Sales Rep and one is Site. The Program doesn't know this is your intent; you can do whatever you want to.
Is it possible to do this across multiple company files? I have several stores that each has their own QB enterprise company file that's hosted on right networks. I'd like to be able to easily transfer inventory between these stores and keep track of it all from any of the company files. Does enterprise with advance inventory sync up all the data between the different files?
Hi rackstarz,
With QuickBooks Desktop, we're unable to sync the data from one company file to another in a simultaneous way.
You'll have to import them manually. From there, you can set up advanced inventory.
I've added this reference as your guide: Set up Advanced Inventory.
