Is your QuickBooks up-to-date? If not yet, please follow the steps below. This helps to always have the latest features and fixes. Here's how:
- Select Update QuickBooks Desktop from the Help menu.
- Select the Update Now option. To remove all past update downloads, select the Reset Update checkbox.
- To begin the download, select Get Updates.
- Restart QuickBooks after the download is complete.
- Accept the option to install the new release when requested.
If the problem persists, run the Verify/Rebuild Utility on the actual company. This built-in tool automatically fixes minor company file data issues.
- Go to the File menu then pick Utilities from the list.
- Select the Verify Data. tool then wait until the diagnosis is done.
- If there are issues, proceed to rebuilding the company file.
- Tap File menu then hover over Utilities.
- Pick Rebuild Data then click OK.
- Follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
