Paying contractors with direct deposits through the Melio connection isn't working anymore. Is there a way around this or to get this working again?

Currently, don't have any ongoing investigation about this issue.  For now, I recommend contacting Melio maybe they have an issue with their system, giving you further assistance, and check this issue for you.

Thank you for your reply, Tirzah. Honestly. I don't see the reason for contacting a third party about issues with a service that is offered to me by Intuit. I use Melio directly from now on as their service just works as it should. It was real easy to login into Melio using our Quickbook credentials. So, it seems to be working on their end.
