POS financial exchange issue in QB

I am need a suggestion on how to manage receiving vouchers that came over in financial exchange as payables w/ item receipts instead of a journal entry to unbilled purchases. I have corrected to prevent on future exchanges but need solution for those that came over.

I have some information about the accounts affected when receiving vouchers. These are the following.

  • Inventory Asset Account
  • Accounts Payable
  • Unbilled Purchases Account
  • Vendor discounts account
  • Purchasing expense account
  • Voucher Adjustment
  • Voucher Fee

At the moment, creating a journal entry is one of three voucher transaction types that can be entered in QBDT. Your other options are the following:

 

  • Mark the voucher as already paid: This creates an Item Receipt in QuickBooks Desktop after the financial exchange. To do this:
  1. Go to the Billing Info then tick Mark this voucher as already paid.
  • Enter the billing information from the vendor invoice: This creates a bill in QuickBooks Desktop after the financial exchange. Here's how:
  1. Go to the Billing Info, then Enter the billing information from the vendor invoice
  2. Then, pay the bill by clicking Vendors and then Pay Bill.
