How to provide W-2's to employees before the forms are available when closing a company in the 1st Quarter?  Does this the corporation can't be closed and dissolved the until the IRS releases the 2021 W-2 forms in the Fall ?

I have some information about Form W-2s. Since this form is an annual filing, this won't be available until the end of the year. You can either call our Payroll Support by that time or complete the form manually. Refer to this article to reach out: Contact Payroll Support.

 

To manually file the form:

 

  1. Go to Reports, Employees & Payroll, then More Payroll Reports in Excel.
  2. Choose Tax Form Worksheets. Then, Enable Content on the Excel page.
  3. Tick the W-2 radio button and change the Date.
  4. Click Create Report.

 

After getting the W-2 info, visit the IRS website to download the form. From there, you can manually enter the form information. Additionally, you can use the payroll summary report to get the data you need in manually completing the form.
